Getting Started

Here are a few quick changes you may want to make when you first start using this TiddlyWiki.

Open the Control Panel using this link or the gear icon below the wiki title, top right.

  • On the Info tab
    • Change the title and subtitle fields to something appropriate.
    • Optionally, set a username.
    • You may also want to remove Getting Started and Introduction from the default tiddler list.
  • On the appearance tab (all optional)
    • Tweak palette, story view behavior, and theme
    • Change the default tool icon display in various areas
  • Other tabs
    • Explore at your leisure

Remember: Always back up your TiddlyWiki file before making changes!

Introduction

This is a TiddlyWiki I've set up to store and organize information for role-playing game campaigns. I've also tried to demonstrate some of the features that make TiddlyWiki such a powerful tool. You're free to use this as you like, but you may want to review the TiddlyWiki license.

Who Am I?

My name is Mark, and I've been playing and running RPGs for a long time. I think TiddlyWiki is an awesome tool for GMs. This is copy of my starting TiddlyWIki. I've used some version of this file to run a half-dozen campaigns. I hope you find it useful.

This tiddler summarizes the three content-specific sidebars and the related top-level tags for each category.

Campaign: tag: campaign

This top-level category/sidebar contains information on the people/places/things/events of the game world.

These tiddlers are not transcluded, because they all transclude the contents tiddler too, which would create redundancies. Do not tag these tiddlers with their own tag. Doing so causes recursive loops in sidebars.
